No, it's "brushed her hair back from her forehead."

When we were getting to know each other, I was at what was then Jim's bachelor pad listening to Paul Simon. He was singing along and sang the wrong lyrics. So, so, so wrong that I thought he was trying to be intentionally funny.

Last week, I was picking CDs to take with us in our travels and put Paul Simon on the pile, smiling, but not remembering the song or the lyric.

We were heading east with the dogs in the back seat next to a head bobbing Willa, when Jim started singing "Graceland" louder with a smirk on his face:

"As if I didn't notice, as if I didn't know myself. As if I didn't notice the way she brushed her hair back and farted."

We laughed, Willa laughed, we ate Twizzlers.

Note: it appears as though I've heard the lyrics wrong all along too - for a peek at the real lyrics (and chords for y'all with a music streak), go here.

My husband is FAMOUS for this. I'll make him sing along to things just to make me laugh.

I don't think he's ever quite done one that good, though!

Hey, I really liked your last post, but am enormously too brain fried to come up with a decent comment. Interesting point, though! We try to stay away from branded stuff, although a few Dora toys and Sesame Street stuff have made their way in. No clothes--we tried Dora underpants as a bribe for potty training and it didn't work. I like simple toys like puzzles, and art supplies

I am a tad concerned with all the Twizzler eating that the T's seem to do. Is it all you people eat?

I love it. I think Jim's is much better than the original lol

I think you should end every post with "and we ate Twizzlers" or at least "and Jim ate Twizzlers". Emily, I really am addicted to them. Though in moderation hopefully, and they are fat free...
By the way, I wrote Paul Simon saying that my version was probably more evocative, but he never got back to me on it...

SLA enjoys the Twizzlers as well, particularly as a straw in her favorite cola beverages. Oh, faux strawberry goodness!!!
