Three little birds...

Yesterday was a very bad day at work. Our 32 person staff was reduced by 6 people. My to-do list just got a little longer, and my region got a lot bigger. I'm overwhelmed, but so, so glad to still have a work to-do list.

Jim came home stressed from work too.

This little slice of perfection was just what we all needed:

Jim was getting Willa ready for bed. They were listening to an Elizabeth Mitchell cd and Bob Marley's song "Three Little Birds" came on. I peeked in and they were dancing. I joined in. Willa was radiating joy and yelling "three little birds" randomly.

Every little thing is gonna be all right.

Oh, that's perfect. I love that version of the song -- and have listened to it when Maggie's nowhere near just to calm myself down. Lovely. Sorry about the tough day and the staff reductions, but you certainly have great perspective. And my is that little girl wonderful!

I'm glad that you thought to save that moment on your blog, it will make me cry when I am old and grey, and you are still loving me (when I'm 64).

I love you turkey's!

What awful timing! You sure don't need that extra stress right now!! I wish I had your ability to let the stress go and enjoy a moment like that..

32 down to 6?! Whoa. I'm so glad to hear that you're one of the 6. And isn't it great when the little thing (like little birds) tend to show up just when you need them most?
