At the start

Yesterday and 4 years ago I met Jim. I'm pretty sure I've written about that before, I'll go look later. The short version is this: he was doing sound at a concert that I dragged Heather to. Heather knew Jim from her days as a Domestic Problems fan-o-mite; he ran the soundboards as they slowly became better known.

Heather was happy to chat with him and his friend after the concert. I was antsy to get out of there and move on with our plans.

Last night we were walking back from our playground adventure. Willa went up the big steps and down the big slide on her own, Jim and I had just - for the first time - felt the baby moving from the inside (!), Arlo was letting Willa walk him on his leash. Greta led the pack. Jim squeezed my hand and said, "who would have thought we'd be married, with almost 2 kids, and 2 dogs, and so happy?"

Aww, what a cute story!

I sometimes wonder if your H and mine know each other from the music 'scene'? MH used to play around GR at different bars back when DP was doing their thing too.

How sweet! Isn't it amazing to think how much has happened in the last few years. It is so wonderful

Cute story! Did Jim spark your interest at all or were you just sort of "whatever, let's go get a drink" --and if so, when did sparks fly? (I LOVE "how we met" stories, I need to post mine and Paul's someday). Four years! We had 2 cats and one house (and one wedding) at four years together, and were trying for the kid. We hit 10 years last Thanksgiving, which boggles my mind.

J and I met on May 9, 2004 (and he spilled his drink on me that day!)Do you remember how rainy May of 2004 was??? We frequently talk about how it rained every single day. Apparently the rain brought us great relationships :-)

Oh, me! I remember how rainy May of 2004 was! We got engaged in May 2004 and drove back from DC in a terrible rainstorm. Now you've inspired me to post a story as we get closer to that date at the end of the month.
